A Family Story...

Here are Eugene, born on July 13, 1887 and Eugenie, born on February 6, 1891.

Descendants of two ancient lines of wine-makers, the Lanne and Moutardier families, the Prud'homme couple had a strong sense of attachment to their land, as good wine-makers they honoured the Champagne region’s traditions and it is for this reason that their wine – a red – won many awards...

Our 6.5 hectares of vines, between Le Breuil and Festigny, is comprised of around thirty different plots, which together make up the amazing mosaic which is the Christophe Mignon vineyard. This diversity of small plots, the result of a long history, adds complexity to the champagne produced by this vineyard.
The pale brown soil is predominantly limestone – the same limestone which is the hallmark of champagne.
The grape varieties grown are the classical mix for the Champagne region:
90% Pinot Meunier, 5% Pinot Noir and 5% Chardonnay.
